The TakePart Foundation is exploring six winners of the Skoll Foundation's Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship. Chuck Slaughter is one of those winners. He has started many small businesses, but finally found success when he was hired by Trickle Up to oversee their operations in India. Inspired by the state of small businesses overseas, Slaughter went on to start an international catalogue to aid entrepreneurs in foreign countries like India.

Living Goods is the name of his effort and it approaches healthcare goods delivery in a manner that is unique and effective. He has been chosen for the Skoll Foundation's Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship because he has proven his ability to tackle advanced problems in foreign lands in an innovative manner. Slaughter is an example of starting up businesses for social advancement.
